Jack MacLaren MPP joins the Trillium Party of Ontario

Trillium Party of Ontario Leader, Bob Yaciuk, is proud to announce that Jack MacLaren will be joining the party.  He becomes the first elected MPP at Queen's Park to sit as a Trillium member.  He represents the riding of Carleton—Mississippi Mills.  Jack has successfully advocated for and protected the rights of individuals, changed public perceptions, and influenced government policy to the benefit of the people of Ontario. Jack went to school at Dirleton, Fitzroy Harbour and Arnprior.  He worked as a Professional Engineer in Vancouver and Calgary for 10 years.
Jack and his wife Janet have three daughters – Jessica, Rachel and Alexis. Janet and all three girls are Registered Nurses who are working in hospitals in Ottawa, Calgary and San Diego. The MacLaren family has a long history of being involved in 
community politics for the purpose of community betterment. Jack’s father, grand-father and great grand-father were all politically active. In the MacLaren house it was always understood that with the enjoyment and benefits of a healthy 
community comes the obligation to contribute to the community. Jack is also a former President with the Ontario Landowners Association. He is ready to discuss the issues that concern his constituents and he will continue to be a strong voice in the Ontario Legislature.
The Trillium Party of Ontario is a new political party started in 2014. It was founded as an alternative to the mainstream political parties at Queen's Park who are out of touch with average Ontarians and their grassroots.   It is an inclusive party that welcomes the Ontario Landowners, social Conservatives and long time grassroots PC members.  The Trillium Party also appeals to Liberals, NDPs and Greens who feel they do not have a voice as a result.
